Resealable Containers Needed

The Galley is currently in need of Resealable plastic containers, preferably microwave safe. If donated, do not expect to get the container back. This is to help those in need out with a warm (or reheatable) meal. Bring any donations for the Galley to Aly Baugh.

Praying 4 U, Weekend of February 18/19

*S – D's recovery from tests in Iowa City; healing power from our savior,
Jesus Christ.

*M – Help me be a better example for my children & a better steward of God
so that they may grow to love God.

*P – Help me to have self-control & patience.

*T – R's recovering in hospital with blood clot in lung.

*J – My job situation is not good. I need to get out & find something
safer for A & myself.

*J – J's work, pray it goes well; C's health, pray for better health; D's
growth in the Lord, pray for continued growth.

*T – My friend lost his father & grandmother a few months apart. Then,
last week, his mother lost her leg due to an illness. His family could
use our prayers. Thank you.

*D – Baby M. Also my unborn grandbaby.

*G – Please pray for C who has an inoperable brain tumor.

*D – For my wife, C, who has been suffering with a bad back. Help take
the pain away.

*B – That my son, K, accepts Jesus and attends an AA meeting.

*B – For aunt, G, who is suffering from cancer.

*M – Please pray I don't have cancer. Your prayers helped a lot – it is
not bone, but may be in stomach.

*D – My future father-in-law, J, had a minor stroke Friday a.m., doing OK,
but still needs prayers.

*M – Healing and comfort for D after surgery.  He has an infection and has had to

return to the hospital in Iowa City.  Please be with the family as they travel to see

him.  Be with the doctors & staff & give them wisdom.

*T - For cancer sick friend, G. Pray God heals G in Jesus' name and that
all cancer will be gone and God will be glorified.

Well, good news!!! Adventure's Family Ministries is tackling most of the work for you! We’ve taken care of the What, Where and When for you! Web Ministry Openings

The Web Ministry is looking for at least two positions:

1) We need a person to write articles for the website. Currently, this would involve reaching out to and speaking with various ministry leaders. Skills/Experience Required: Outgoing personality, internet access, sending/receiving email, *NO WEB EDITING SKILLS REQUIRED*

2) We need someone to manage the sermons database. This position requires at least a basic understanding of web programming. Tasks include adding/editing each weeks sermon every Sunday afternoon and entering previous sermons into the database, tagging MP3's. Access to high speed internet at home is recommended.

3) We also need someone to manage the calendar on the site. With the flow of new events here at Adventure,  we need someone to focus on the calendar to keep it an accurate and reliable source of information for everyone here in our community.

Attention Parents: If your child has any of the following symptoms prior to an AdventureLand class he/she must not attend class.
1. 2 degree fever
2. Unexplained rash (especially one accompanied by a fever or upper respiratory congestion)
3. Vomiting and/or diarrhea
4. A consistent frequent cough
5. Severe upper respiratory infection and anything other than a clear runny nose
If you child attends with any of these symptoms you will be paged to pick him/her up.

Life Groups Are Coming Again!

This is the coolest group study format ever and it is coming back!

It's simple Beginning one week before each meeting, your group will all read the same passage of Scripture on your own. We suggest you read it in the morning before breakfast and again at night just before you go to bed. By doing that you will have read the same verse 14 times in one week.

When you come together with your group, your facilitator will then ask you to close your Bible, and will then ask a series of questions designed to help your group work together as a team to recreate the passage from memory. It's that simple!

(His group meets one week ahead of all the other groups, and he sends out his notes right after his meeting so you have a few days to study them and think about them for your group.)
